What Should Go in Your Bucket With Your French Maid Costume?

So, you're ready to pack up your French Maid costume in you Halloween bucket to go get ready for the big party? Every piece is important so checking your list off as you go will assure that you don't forget anything.

o Black Dress - The black dress will get you started. Whether it's a full dress or a skirt and a top is not important. It shouldn't be longer than knee length and preferably the shorter and fuller on the bottom, the better. The top, traditionally will have some sort of sleeve but plenty of maids prefer to wear a tank style or even a strapless corset.

o White Apron - The traditional apron was a Pinafore but chances are you won't find one and even if you do, it may not be sexy enough for you. A simple little white apron will do just fine here.

o Stockings - Generally, black, sheer or fishnet stockings are worn. Most women prefer thigh highs so that they can show off their white ruffle undergarments when they bend over. Other variations of stockings are just as sexy if you choose to not be so traditional.

o Shoes - Usually black, although white is gaining popularity but always high heels. The higher the better. French Maids are a sexy French symbol. Sexy French women did not wear flat shoes.

o Feather Duster - This is an important accessory for your French Maid costume. A maid cannot properly pretend to clean without one.

o Tiara - Usually the only place to find a cloth tiara will be a specialty costume shop or online. If you cannot find one then a simple ribbon in your hair will work great here.

o A Sexy Attitude - Do not forget your mysterious side to your personality when you step out the door. French Maids are thought of as a sexy symbol of women so don't forget your sexy attitude to go along with your costume.
