How to Buy Lingerie Online For the First Time

Buying lingerie online opens a huge variety of choices for women. You can find items that you would not normally be able to find while shopping in local stores as well as alternative colors, patterns and styles. The internet is filled with not only a large amount of lingerie sources but also "dancewear" specialty shops for exotic dancers. These women know what to wear to be sexy and you can find some really jaw-dropping lingerie at these online sources. Buying lingerie for the first time online though can be a bit overwhelming.

Whether you are shopping for a specific item or just wanting to add a few additional pieces to your lingerie drawer take your time and browse the internet. With so many online stores available, shops are fighting for your business so before you press that "checkout" button, see if you can find it cheaper elsewhere. Many sites will offer free shipping or "buy one, get one" deals so look for these. You also want to check return policy. As many women already know, some stores will not accept a return or exchange on lingerie, even if the tags are still intact (like you are really going to wear that bra with the long tag hanging from it?). So, if there is a doubt in your mind that something may not fit or look quite right on you, check to make sure that you can ship it back for a return if unworn. Many online stores will also offer free return labels too which is helpful.

All lingerie sizing runs different. As much as women can wish there was some sort of universal sizing for all lingerie, there is simply is not. Most sites will have a size chart available. Take the time to measure yourself. Also, remember, one size does not fit all. If you have reached a site that offers mainly one size fits all clothing and all the models seem to be a size 0 and your figure is more in the society average of double digits, chances are that little undergarment is not going to fit no matter how stretchy it is.

Don't go overboard! Until you know that brand or piece is going to fit you, don't order one in every color just because it is the perfect piece you are looking for. Chances are it will still be there five days from now after you receive your package and make sure everything fits just right.

Check out the company. There are so many online lingerie shops now a day but which ones are legitimate? Thankfully, most of the time you can tell by looking at the quality of the webpage, or perhaps it's a store you have heard of but look for reviews. Many stores will have customer reviews available or you can do a Google search and see if anything negative comes up. Always be sure when entering any credit card information online that the web address is 'https' and not 'http'. The first example symbolizes a secure location where your information can't be viewed from others. All legitimate stores will have a secure connection.

Buying lingerie can be a fun event and there definitely is a lot more choices. If something arrives and it doesn't fit right, send it back right away. Don't' let it collect dust until it's past the 'return' policy allowed time. Be careful though, once you get past the first time of buying lingerie online you find excuses to do it all the time!

What is the Correct Way For Doing Up a Corset?

Corsets may not be as easy as just sliding into your favorite tank but the results that it does to your figure are worth the extra time you spent getting dressed. To ensure comfort, do not lace your corset up too tight the first few times. You need to allow it time to mold naturally to your body and your body needs time to get used to the idea of wearing one.

It is of course; easiest if someone can assist you in putting your corset on but this rarely an option so you handle the task by yourself. All woman are not Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With the Wind and do not have an assistant to pull the ribbons tight while they hold onto the bed post. You will want to loosen the lacing enough for you to get into it. Once you are into the corset, fasten up the front clasp, starting at the top and working downward. Now comes the tricky part. Reach around to the back and gently pull the loops and tighten the lacing, progressing toward the center from the bottom and the top. This may seem tough the first few times but you will get used to it. Don't try to look in the mirror to do this; it will only frustrate you that everything is backwards.

There is a method called Tight lacing that someone practice for a waistline rewarding tactic. It is the act in which the wearer typically wears their corset night and day, constantly pulling the waste tighter. Once a reduction of two to four inches occurs, the wearer then graduates down to a smaller size corset. This is repeated until the wearer reaches their goal waist size. This does stir up some controversy of being unhealthy or harmful to your body but most feel if done properly it can be effective and not hurtful.

It is also important to always remember when wearing your corset for the first few times it is absolutely of the utmost importance to give your corset that break in period that it needs. This not only prevents damage to the corset but it also prevents your body from feeling discomfort.

What to Look For When Buying Plus Size Lingerie

In today's world, more woman are considered "plus size" when referring to actually clothing size than not. No matter the size of the woman, all of them want to feel feminine, flirty and desired. For some reason, lingerie choices seem to be geared more toward the smaller "non-average" size which can be frustrating when a woman with some curves is looking for an addition to her lingerie closet.

The easiest thing to do is find specialty shops that offer plus size lingerie either in a physical store or online. Shopping online can offer a larger variety to choose from. Be sure to read reviews and return policies.

Knowing what to look for when buying plus size lingerie is the most important element. Look for something that will flatter your body type. If your body shape falls under the inverted pear category and your breasts are bigger than your bottom than go ahead and accentuate your assets because chances are they're not going to be easily hidden in lingerie. Find something that creates great cleavage like a babydoll. Babydoll's are also ideal for the traditional pear shape as well. If your bottom half is the heavier part, the last thing you want to do is emphasize this with something too tight. Babydolls are feminine, flowing and flirty and have the ability to hide what most women consider their flaws. Avoid tight clinging fabrics. Even on the thinnest models, certain fabrics can make you appear like you have rolls. Looser styles seem to work best for everyone.

If you find something that fits absolutely perfect and makes you feel gorgeous, it is perfectly acceptable to stock up. This is considered a fashion emergency and is allowed on all budgets. Plus size woman know it's hard sometimes to find something that seems to have been made for their body so if you find something you love it, buy it in a few colors. Vendors change their fashion lines with seasons so there's a good chance if you go back to buy another one later, they may not be available.

The most important thing to look for is choosing something that makes you feel confident and even sexy while you're wearing it. It should be comfortable and not constricting, yet supportive. When you feel pretty underneath, your confidence will shine through. Self-confidence is the perfect accessory to any lingerie.

Choosing the Right Lingerie For the First Date

The first date is the most important date plain and simple. It is your one and only chance to make that lasting first impression and the one outfit that he will remember many years down the road. Appearance plays a huge role in first impression. Most women will go through their closet once, if not twice in search for the perfect outfit that screams out to them from beyond the mirror, "I'm the one, wear me! I'm perfect". Women spend a lot of time deciding on the clothes that will be worn but double that goes into the thought process of lingerie. It's actually such a conflicting decision you can almost stress yourself out over it.

Lingerie for a first date can be very tricky. You do not want to look like you dressed for the occasion and that you planned for him to get a peek at your perfectly matching undergarments, however you want to make sure that you are well prepared if he actually does. Men want women to look sexy without knowing that they tried too hard. A lot of women will naturally gravitate toward black lingerie because it's the safe, sexy choice. This can work or not work for you. Some men will automatically just love it and not think twice about it but others think of as black lingerie and sex pops right into their brain. If they see you have chosen to wear black lingerie on a first date they may get the impression that you definitely planned for this moment to happen.

Matching lingerie is essential. Although you don't want to look like you put a lot of thought into it, you also don't want to look like a train wreck. Most men actually prefer lingerie that is simple and feminine. Articles of color, pattern and that cute little bow is a great turn on. What lingerie you choose for a first date may also depend on the date. If he is taking you skiing or possibly to a BBQ or somewhere very casual than you probably want to opt for very simple, yet pretty lingerie or else you will definitely look like you tried too hard. Men love boy shorts so for casual dates why not try a cute pair of cotton boy shorts with a matching bra. You could wear a matching set with stripes, polka dots, butterflies and fun vibrant colors to show your flirty side.

For more of a traditional date like dinner or a show then you may need to glam it up a bit. Chances are that cotton probably is not acceptable in this situation. A bit of lace or satin would be nice. Tones of silver, burgundy and navy blue add elegance. You want to look like you are a sexy woman under those clothes but that it's not an easy task to get the privilege to see.

Whatever you wear, you need to feel comfortable. Wearing it around the house first for a bit helps, sitting and standing is recommended. You don't want a pair of panties that moves on you every time you move nor do you want a bra that you are falling out of when you bend over. Try out your lingerie for movement and makes sure that it works for you. If you feel sexy underneath your clothes it will shine through. There is nothing sexier than a woman with self-confidence and knowing what's underneath your clothes might give you that extra boost to make the perfect first impression.
