Dressing For Bed - Why the Women in Your Life Don't Wear the Underwear You Buy Them

All across the world there are women with lingerie drawers. Inside those lingerie drawers you will often find a couple of items they have never worn or only worn once. Why? Because their husbands or boyfriends bought them. They can't throw them away because that would cause offense, but they don't want to wear them either. Drawers full of frilly bits of nothing lie unused, Men need to know why.

There are lots of reasons why your wife wont wear the underwear you bought her. Here are just a few.

   It doesn't fit. It's difficult to estimate size, and we know that some people just wont ask. If you buy too big you're in trouble. If you buy too small...... you're still in trouble. Solution, check her drawer for size and/or have it made to measure.

   It makes her feel stupid. Not all grown women feel happy about dressing up as French Maids and schoolgirls. If you're lucky then the woman in your life won't mind indulging your fantasies now and again, but be aware that she is indulging you, giving her a present of a french maids uniform isn't really a present for her, now is it? Solution: buy a timelessly elegant design with absolutely no cutouts. Cater to her fantasies, not yours.


3. 
   It is very uncomfortable. Have you ever worn a thong. Just think about it for a minute. Some underwear is comfortable, but quite a lot of it (a surprising amount) is not. Women do not want to go to bed feeling uncomfortable. Solution: do not buy skimpy lingerie. Buy from a reputable company who use a decent amount of fabric in their designs.

   The kids might walk in. Yes, people with children do have sex. And underwear. And lingerie drawers. Small children especially have no concept of privacy. Most women don't want their toddlers to see them in black wispy nightgowns. Solution: again, cater to her fantasies, not yours. She can have fantasy sleepwear which the kids will be quite happy with. Go away for the weekend.


5. 
   It's horrible. Male and female taste in lingerie is quite different. You may think bright fuchsia with orange lace and lime suspenders is tasteful. It is likely that she does not. Solution: go to a reputable company who will help to guide your taste and selection.

   The fabric feels rough or sweaty. Modern fabrics often feel horrible when worn. Lingerie and sleepwear are worn next to the skin. The sensation of the fabric on the skin is important. Solution:silk.


7. 
   It fell apart. Almost every piece of lingerie on sale in the shops is made in China. While some is good quality, a lot of items will fall apart under even a small amount of stress. Once the straps or the lace come off she won't want to wear it. Solution: buy from a reputable company and spend a reasonable amount of money. You get what you pay for.
